Denver, Colorado, July 1st – Founding EAH Partner Nancy Elkind was elected Board Chair of the Colorado Lawyers Committee last week at the Committee's June meeting held at the offices of Reilly Pozner LLP. The Colorado Lawyers Committee (CLC) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan consortium of 56 Colorado law firms dedicated to creating and increasing opportunities for children, the poor, and other disadvantaged communities. For the past 33 years, CLC volunteers have focused on systemic change through advocacy, negotiation, and litigation, using the unique skills of lawyers in service to others. During 2010, over 650 volunteers contributed more than 12,000 hours to make a difference in our community. Projects ranged from education, immigration, civil rights, voting rights, criminal law, poverty, public benefits and mental health.
